Hi, I'm considering a job in Modesto and Stockton (split days). I live in San Ramon/Pleasanton. Does anyone know what this commute is like. I know it is reverse commute, but are there any problems area to and from (Does interstate 5 get back upped in the morning or night or 99 near Modesto). Work hours will be 9-5 M-F. Thanks.

aside from the occational accident or when fog gets really bad in winter the commute to modesto is pretty trouble free probably take you like 35 minutes. Stockton can be a little more tricky because there can be commuter traffic but not nearly as bad as the reverse commute but you might be looking at an hour some days.

LOL uh no the commute will not take 35 minutes from San Ramon to Modesto. Try at least an hour and 15-30 minutes depending on traffic. Also Stockton is closer and faster than Modesto from San Ramon because of the straight shot on the I5 out of Tracy. Yes it is the reverse commute that dosent mean you wont run into problems as your commute will be at peak traffic times.

You will be spending a lot of money on gas FYI. Hope you figured that into you budget.
