Hi, I'm planning on moving to some part of CA (don't know where yet.. maybe SoCA?) in probably 2-3 yrs

I'm currently studying to become a Medical Assistant at a community college in Pennsylvania. I will be getting an Associates degree in Medical Assisting and I've been hearing that the pay is higher in California. I'm single so I will be living at an apartment there. I need some advice as to what part of Southern California will be the best place for me... xD

If you're either living in CA or have been there for awhile, please give some feedback as to social life, work, apartment pricing, and anything in general.

Thanks in advance!

Well, what is it you are looking for? As a medical assistant, of course you could live anywhere. Even Southern California alone is probably the size of six Pennsylvanias. You could live in the mountains, the desert, the foothills, a big city, or a small city, and still be in Southern California.

The pay is higher but so is the cost of living, so if you are coming here it should be because you legitimately find California to be a desirable place to live, and not because you think you're going to make big bucks.
