Mammoth will also be open until July 4th. While Living in CO I was surprised how early most ski resorts closed compared to Mammoth and Tahoe.

I skied mammoth on July 4th a couple years ago when they got record snow. I was in shorts and a t-shirt, best kind of skiing. Although my favorite memory was when I saw these two guys, about 25 years old, with no shirts on thinking you can't get a sunburn at 11k feet high, boy they were wrong. In the morning of July 4th they were completely white, saw those same guys at the village the next day and were red all over.

I went off topic

Haha, yeah the sun at that altitude is more intense than ppl realize, even if its windy and cold out. Then add in reflection off the snow and its instant sunburn with no sunscreen on.
