Hold on to your hats fellow Californians the business climate in this state just keeps getting better and better. Here is a report from the Tax Foundation ranking every state in the Nation's business tax climate.

California rank - 49th.

Psssst- just for Monty- Texas was 13th

That ought to make business owners want to expand and hire more employee's.

Why do you keep posting negative threads? That's all you do here. It's annoying.

In other words, businesses prefer to not pay any taxes and they want to treat their employees like dirt and dump all over the environment.

Hmmm...Interesting.

Its called a reality check. Sorry you perceive it as negative. When you run a business or government and you are getting your ass handed to you looking the other way will send you straight down the crapper. If you want a cheering section go watch a football game. This is real life with real consequences not some Raider vs Charger football game for the AFC West Championship in which the Raiders kick the snot out of the Chargers. But I digress. Study the numbers and see for your self. I know its a 60 page report, but most of it is pretty charts and graphs.

Interesting article. At least we beat NY . Well, when we are at the bottom there is definate room for improvement. Hopefully no one doubts that, including newly elected politicians. Whether or not they choose to act upon this knowledge beyond simply creating a few green jobs is another matter.

Take a few college classes and maybe you will understand the logical fallaciousness of your comparison. Your Non-Sequitur Red Herring holds no water for the original argument. Try again

I realize it's called a reality check but are you too blind to see that there are already 1,000 topics devoted to "California's economy is tanking" and "Texas is better than California"? It gets old. California is bankrupt. We get it. Every freaking day you post some thread bashing California. I realize it doesn't have to be all praise, but you go out of your way to be negative about California. The negativity on this board brings everyone down. We don't need to be reminded about how crappy the economy is every time we log in.

As for the football reference, the Raiders hardly kicked the snot out of the Chargers. It was by a few points, hardly a shut out.

can't the same be said to your initial comment. CA has 30M+ people within its borders and there has been no mass exodus as some have predicted. beyond the industries that are firmly embedded here (entertainment and technology to name a couple), there has to be basic services for the remaining population. even with our problems (which i agree are quite significant), there is a lot of money to be made in CA, we're not going to just fall of a cliff.

I completely agree. People keep saying that people are leaving CA in droves, yet our population continues to grow.

Don't read my highly educational posts and links then. Continue to be drunk on the euphoria of what could be. If your looking for a change here you will not get it. I am not a cheerleader. Cheerleaders don't have to make payroll.

A loss is a loss. Deal with it. That's what I was told to do.
