I always remember it being this hot at this time of year, ever since I moved to the CV. It seems that summer here in the CV, with the high temps last at least until mid-October. That's why usually during the last week of October we have "season parties" to kick off the start of the season.

My point, if any, was again to point out the vast differences contained within the State of California, something a lot of people do not fully understand.
I got sucked in again. LOL Yea so true we have most every kind of weather available in this state.

You live in a outdoor oven & your winters are very short with litle rain. Not my cup of tea.

It certainly isn't unusual to have a heat wave in late September since summer heat doesn't really end until late October. Some of the hottest weather of the year can occur in autumn especially in coastal areas. The warm temps forecast for this weekend are not more than 5-10 above normal. This summer has been the coolest in California for decades and many all-time records have been set for consistently below normal temps. So we are spoiled. Don't forget that Halloween can often be quite hot and it is not at all uncommon to record temps in the 90's even in November.
