Hi!
We live a little bit north of there. Viera is practically a brand new town. Its mostly made up of new cookie cutter developments. There is an overpass being built over I-95 to accommidate all the houses that are going up in that area. All of brevard county's government offices are in that area. They recently built a brand new high school and a minor league baseball stadium is there. There is a shopping center called The Avenues that has various shops. There is also a Super Walmart and Super Target there.
Here is a website you may want to check out about it..

Good luck!

Viera is okay if you don't like trees. As posted above, very cookie cutter and nondescript.

Talking Viera Resident

http://www.viera.com/public/index.jsp (broken link)

gives information about the city. Latitude 28.246N longitude -80.737W. I've lived in Viera since 2004 and it's a drastic contrast from the big city life. It's a great place for families and there's no shortage of rental housing or golf courses. It's close to the beaches, Kennedy Space Center, Brevard Zoo, Patrick Air Force Base, Space Coast Stadium (home of the Brevard County Manatees minor league baseball team), and parks,

Since moving here from the windy city I've felt like I've been on holiday.

Default Viera

We love living in Viera. Not every neighborhood is cookie cutter, you just have to really do your research to find the nicer neighborhoods that are more removed from I-95. Our neighbors are wonderful and friendly, and life is quiet and peaceful. Plus, we live on the east side of Viera, which is removed from the crowds on the west side because of the mall, but it's just a short drive to get there.

Could anyone tell us the names of some apartments with screenrooms we could check out when we're there in December? When we sell our home and move there,we want to rent for the first year and really enjoy a screenroom-so does our cat.(ha!ha!)Townhomes, condos or rent homes would be fine also.

Thanks!
