I am going to relocate back to the west from Florida. I used to live in Durango Co. and loved the weather and recreation but would like to start over in a new community. Bozeman, Salida and Whitefish all look like options. I am in retail and having the tourists is a plus. Any one out there with knowledge on these areas or others like them, and can give me some insite and comparisons?

I would really check out what the respective chambers of commerce have to say, respectively. All I know to say otherwise is that I have seen some lackluster looking expressions in the eyes of a business owner or two in Whitefish. It is not the volume of business that they thought. Though Whitefish is by far, to me, the more beautiful compared to Bozeman - or rather, a different kind of beauty with more mountains close by and lake and ski area right there. Bozeman feels grandiose, expansive, and maybe the business life is there too?
