I keep reading how "expensive" homes are in Boulder. We are wanting to relocate but curious what "expensive" is to you all out there?
Example: 4 bedroom home, 2000-2500 sq ft goes for what? I mean does anyone know what the price per sq ft is going for now? Even with this goofy economy?
Are there acreages (outside the area) available?
Recommend nearby areas? We love Boulder but have not been back for years. Sounds like it has changed - what is with the "unfriendly people" posts? I can not believe that one! Surely that is a joke?!??? We always thought Boulder was a nice area!! VERY NICE!

We live in FL now and we MISS THOSE MTNS .....well foothills .......well ANYTHING that is over 12 inches high!!!!

Florida to us is "FLAT-I-DA".....plus it is getting WAY too crowded here and just can't get used to that high heat and humidity in FL for 8 months long, plus we are avid dual sport motorcyclists and as I said "FLAT-I-DA" is just not fun!

November was a very slow month in Boulder real estate with sales volume off 50% from normal. Based on the sales that occurred, the median $/total SQFT was $205 for single family homes. Prices typically start around $450K for a 4BD house with at least 2,000 SQFT. Prices above $1MM in certain neighborhoods.

You may want to check out the affordable housing program through the city of Boulder. They offer programs for people who are at median income levels as well (about $80,000 combined income for 2 people). The information can be found at the city of Boulder website under Department of Housing.
