I've just started to research the real estate market in the Boulder area (mostly condos), and I'm disappointed in the real estate sites I've found so far.

Are there ANY that list the association fees, and more importantly, property taxes? I have a hunch that, like property values, they are through the roof, but would like to confirm that w/o the hassle of contacting an agent. Not a problem in other metro areas I search.

My wife and I are looking to retire away from the long cold winters and miserably humid summers here in Wisconsin. As we probably couldn't afford Boulder proper, which of the surrounding towns would offer either the easiest access to Boulder's amenities (shops, dining, biking, hiking), or their own substitute for same?

The only other place on our list is Boise, which we've visited once. Anyone care to make a comparison?

Thanks!

Have you tried these 2 websites ?? They do list fees & taxes.
Homes for Sale in Colorado | Metrolist MLS
COhomefinder | Colorado's most popular real estate website (this one lets you set search ranges for fees & taxes in their Advanced search form)

re cities with access to Boulder, try these
Longmont
Louisville
Lafayette
Superior
Broomfield

Property tax info is public information: Property Tax Search

As far as HOA fees, I've never seen costs listed publicly and always had to get this information from my agent, in any state.

Let me know if you need a great agent for Boulder and surrounding areas. Good luck.

Thanks, Idlewile. Oddly, I haven't had a problem uncovering fees most of the time-- I see that info more often provided than the taxes.

Feel free to PM me re: the agent, I'd like to keep it for future reference.
