I'm looking to move from N. Quincy to JP in the coming months and have read through the recommendations here on parts to stay away from. I don't see too much mentioned about S. Huntington by the last 3 "E" Line stops though. Is this considered a pretty safe area right on S. Huntington by the pond?

It's not as sketchy as it used to be but it's not pristine either. Personally I'd look closer to Centre St in the heart of JP (e.g near Pond St) or the area near/just south of the monument where Centre and South Sts split, and use the Orange Line or the 39 bus. Stony Brook and Green St are probably the preferred stops though I don't think the Forest Hills area is as bad as some people say.

That's what I was thinking and I'll definitely still check that area out but just wanted some general feedback. Thanks a lot for the reply.

The Pond area is really nice!
The Monument, I did spent many days for the bus to Centre Street, and home!
Also, with school, and work, I did go to Forest Hills, no problem ever! Green Street, when off the T, I did get wise, and if I did miss the bus, would
take the t to Forest Hill, and get the Charles River Bus, and walk. I also would walk from green street to the Monument, and then get, the bus to forest hills!
