Saddened to hear about this.

He has been a fixture in Boston for decades. Even doing those senior commercials on the radio after retirement.
Great voice and seemed like a good man.

In an era where most newscaster, whether tv or radio, seem generic, interchangeable and disposable, it's nice that Boston had such an icon.

Seems like he was a fixture reading the school closings during snowstorms?

An announcer called him "radio royalty."
