I live in Newtonville and we are looking to take the green line into Boston for a upcoming Red Sox game at Fenway. We are not within walking distance to the green line. Is there any parking available at the Green Line stops in Newton? I saw a small parking lot at Chestnut Hill and would be concerned that it could fill up - can I park at the Mall and walk over there? Or are we better off parking at Woodland for a fee?

I usually do Riverside, which is similar to Woodland. Riverside may have a few more parking spaces, and many times doesn't entirely fill in the back parking lot.

Woodland is cheaper to park over riverside, theres also always an option to park at beaconsfield in brookline. It usually has spots open, and its meter parking (free after 6).

I would go with woodland though, very close to newtonville (I live in newtonville/west newton, and its my choice if I dont want to drive in. Not free, but only 6 or 7 for a full 24 hours.
