Anybody remember Hans Von Hammer, the "Enemy Ace"?
I recently found an "Enemy Ace" comic at a consignment shop. I think he started the trend toward introspective, angst-ridden, comics heroes that was continued with the Silver Surfer and others.
The book I got was from 1977. It included a new story and a re-print of the first "Enemy Ace" story from 1965. Interesting to see how his goggles and the graphics on the engine cowling of his airplane got more stylized over the years.
Yes I remember Enemy Ace. I seem to recall the art was good too. I believe DC Comics put out some Archive books featuring Enemy Ace 60's run. If you like the character, you could probably go check Amazon or Ebay and see what they are going for nowadays secondhand...
