I won't give anything away but it was great! I've never gone on opening night before, does the audience always applaud when the movie comes on and then again when it ends? Go see it!

The book is huge. Did they have to cut out half the book, or is this a 5 hour movie?

Honestly I only read half of the book...I'm reading a chapter a night to my son...and it takes a while. I'm pretty sure this is the same as the other movies, true to the story line but missing much of the details. It did however flow nicely in the movie, but if you've read the book you will either be disappointed that things are left out or like it more because you know all the details going in. It was only 2 1/2 hours...so yes they cut out half.

We are going to the movie on Friday; I took the day off from work so we can go to the matinee. This is my first HP movie to see at the theater (all the others I had to wait for it to go to DVD). I am so excited to see this! The previews look great!

I would have liked to attend the midnight screening Tuesday night, but my days of staying up that late have long passed me by!

huge disapointment. It did need another 30 minutes. It was very choppy, and the end was not nearly as dramatic as the book. I don't want to hear about how it was a big book. Lord of the Rings ran 3 hours in every movie and because it was done so well, no one even noticed. In fact that movie was so well done, that I would have stayed another hour. Very very disapointing. I done going to these silly movies. Has not been a good one since the 1st one.

I liked it.
Yes they took a bunch of stuff out, they always do.
They need to keep that momentum going I suppose. For me, it worked.
Some long movies are good, but I don't think more is necessarily better in cinema. And the days of theaters doing intermissions are lo-o-ng gone.
I always adore Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton was perfectly horrid (horridly perfect?) as Dolores Umbridge, and Evanna Wood, with her lilting accent, really caught my eye as the enigmatic Luna Lovegood.

well maybe Peter Jackson should direct the next two, that might be the only way I will get off my butt to go see another one. Of course I said I would never see another one after the second one, but my wife keeps dragging me to these.
