Hi. First post. I actually spent two years in Idaho back in the early 80's on a bicycle. You can probably guess what I was doing...anyways, after spending the past thirty years in SoCal, I'm nearing retirement and ready to make some plans. My wife and I are runners and bike riders and that is a big part of our fitness routine. We love the outdoors, skiing, hiking, camping, and Idaho is starting to look very interesting again. Honestly, I never really thought I'd want to return, but after traveling around the country it looks better and more interesting to me. Any runners in Boise? Is there a big running community? Ultramarathon types? How do you deal with winter time. When I was there I did ride bikes year round and I remember the snow and slush. I don't remember seeing people out running or otherwise exercising in the off season. A treadmill in a gym is not appealing. Thanks.
