I believe that the 535i now uses the N55 engine.

Yeah well, not every car deserves "enthusiast" treatment. Some just need to be kept on the road at minimal cost to the owner. I lived around the corner from a Merlin's that kept my various J.ap/American jalopies roadworthy both competently and cost-effectively. They never laid hands on my Porsche; that went to a Euro specialist on the other side of town.

oh, I wasn't trying to be a snob. I can sure a reputable and reasonable independent garage is out there. Some places have employees going thru the same repetitive motions.....you know..like chucking the same oil for every car out that comes in.
