Here I am again asking ANOTHER question (all the while still not knowing if we're going to make the big move out - ha!) -- here goes:

We go to Saddleback Church here in Orange County, California (yes, Rick Warren's church is HUGE, but the way it's set up...not so huge, really). We're not looking for a big church, just one that teaches the Bible, has great children's programs, edgy worship, ministry opportunities, and is "non-churchy," if that makes sense.......where people love on each other and the pastor isn't there just because of a career move, but more because he genuinely desires to LOVE and serve the community. Also, where there is a focus on relationship with God rather than "religion."

I'm sure there are many wonderful churches in the area, both traditional and not so traditional...but if any look a bit like this, do tell! I'm sure we'd feel welcomed anywhere.

You might consider Briarwood Presbyterian, Shades Mountain Baptist, Dawson Baptist, in that order.

Best wishes

We attend World Outreach Center, very contemporary, very edgy, awesome youth programs and children's programs. Our Pastors keep it "real". If you don't feel accepted as you are than something is wrong. Smaller than what you are used too about 600 adult member and 150 teenagers, but you would love it. You can go to www.wocusa.com and check it out. About a 30 minute drive from Trussville is the only down fall for us.

Also, if you need Moderator cut: realtor advertising/soliciting

I think most of the churches in Trussville are very conservative.

Word Alive, Coldwater, Al. It is about 35 minutes from Trussville, but well worth the drive. Even if you just want to visit sometime, you would really enjoy it.
