i emant to add the only reason i say opposite is the "anyone vs 1 person issue that makesa macaw an "easier" pet (i dont think either is "better"
if your a home body with no realy amily perpetually ad happily single with no desire to change and are young and will LIKELY outlive the bird then an amazon makes a great companion...
but their tendency to be severly 1 person birds makes them difficult if you: have other people in the house, need to go on vacation and have someone care for the bird, something happens to you, you cant keep the bird or whatever reason...alamons ust generally have a much harder time adapting to ew people and situations than macaws and thats the only REAL reason i fthik macaws are generally an "easier" pet.

Um...I don't think many people fit that description.
I do...im 28 agoraphobic with social anxiety and have absolutly NO desire to share my home with aother human being...so yes we are out there...lol
but thats the point, the IDEAL home for an amazon is a little harder to find than the IDAL home for a macaw, amazons are quite frankly 1 person birds who usually dont like to share their person can be very tempermental and moody and live a very long time.
when i worked in a bird specialty store we got LOTS of calls fro peopletrying to sell/rehome thei amazons BECAUSE the bird didnt like thier husband/wife, or attacked the kids ect...they are simply 1 person birds.
