So how do you define his career? All time great PG? Choker?

He's got Doc Rivers, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan, Jamal Crawford, JJ Redick...yet still no more than the 2nd round.

Do you have him ranked above Steve Nash who went to three Western Conference finals? What about John Stockton who went to TWO NBA finals?

Paul has nice numbers, but Stockton is leaps and bounds better, I'd put Paul over Nash individually, but take Jason Kidd over them both.

Chris Paul's is dirty, always has been, I can't stand him. I respect his numbers, but he's not a winner. Some guys are just "winners". Some guys are just winners, he puts up numbers but he can't win a series. The clippers and hornets before were also not built to win. The clippers are built to put up highlights but not win.

^^^agreed! He's not a winner, and I've always thought him overrated. He's still very good, and in his prime he qualifies as "great". But for whatever reason, he doesn't have the killer instinct, and besides only a handful of highlight playoff moments, he seems unable to put a team on his back and carry them further. He's very similar to Carmelo in this regard. I mean seriously, only one Conference Finals appearance? He's long been overrated, there has never been anything exceptional about his game besides being a master passer...

And Doc Rivers has long been an overrated coach, don't even get me started on him...

Right now I'd say Cliff Paul has been more successful in his career than Chris Paul.

I wouldn't blame Chris Paul alone (though Curry is certainly better )
The Clippers are poorly built...a human highlight reel which excites the fans but has no fundamental play and certainly no depth. A fully healthy Crawford would've helped, but all in all their bench has been nonexistent since Doc became GM. And no team with Matt Barnes as a starter is championship material.

Had the NBA not rejected his trade to the Lakers, would we be telling a different story? Or would he join the list of players who thought they could solve all their problems by joining the fabulous Los Angeles Lakers - like Steve Nash, Dwight Howard, Carlos Boozer, and I hope Rajon Rondo.

Chris Paul is a good player. But to reiterate several people, he doesn't win. And I agree, he's dirty, I hate him personally. Jason Kidd and Steve Nash are light years ahead of Paul. And how could anyone compare Chris Paul to John Stockton, the NBA's all time leading assist man!? And he leads that race by nearly 4,000 assists!!

I don't get the CP3 hate. Look at his stats for this series by game...

Game 3: (Limited to 23 minutes coming off hamstring injury)
5-12 12 pts, 7 assts

Game 4: (limited to 26 minutes injury)
4-9 15 pts 12 assts

Game 5:
9-16 22 pts 10 assts

Game 6:
10-19 31 pts 11 assts

Game 7:
9-20 26 pts 10 assts

What more do you want him to do? Blake is afraid to shoot and the rest of the team only showed up on occasion. Paul was the only one who really looked like he wanted it the last few games.

Went 1-for-5 in the final 6 mins of game 6.... blowing an 8 pt lead. Only made shot was at the buzzer while down 15. Not exactly clutch.
