Does anybody else think that ESPN went way over the top presenting this decision? They even gave it a name: The Decision. LeBron James' humility stands in stark contrast to ESPN's idolatry.

Maybe ESPN can turn The Decision into a drama mini-series every spring/summer and follow Brett Favre around until he makes a decision on whether or not he's going to keep playing football.

Yea...I didn't really like the way he did it. Should've just kept his decision on the low. It just made him look like a jerk. Anyways, I didn't catch the 1hr special so can somebody breakdown what actually happened on the special?

I like it because of the suspense and only wish ESPN would do this more often with other players. Kind of like the lottery.

I like the way Kevin Durant quietly took care of his business on the sly. LOL!
He's a very humble person, and he's very underrated too.

Yes, too over the top. For a guy who's never won a championship, too much is awarded this guy. Hell, Wade WON a title as the man and doesn't get the same props, and frankly at his size I think he's just as good as Lebron. Not as versatile because of height and size, but just as good.

This was more than Lebron's ego. In-fact, I would not be at all surprised if this was entirely ESPN's idea. Now if Lebron can't win a championship in the next few years we may look back on this "Decision" special and laugh. But honestly ,I fully expect the Heat to take a dominate role [they have to].

Agreed, they have no other choice. But I actually do think that they're not going to be winning like 5 titles, maybe 3 out of 5 or so.

But that could be because I'm a super Lakers fan!

I think most people would agree with you and the sport commentators are universally predicting that it will take at least a year before the Heat gels enough to win a championship. Though when we consider Lebron's performance this past season with only a so-so supporting cast, it is not inconceivable for Miami to win in 2011 just due to Lebron. Whatever the outcome, its going to be good basketball!
