So where does A-Rod end up now in your rankings since he is having hip surgery and might not be back on the field until May or June?

My opinion is that he drops to at least the second round. I was already discounting him a bit due to his steroid problems. Right now I personally would put him about #45 in my rankings.

#45 is too low IMO, but I never moved him off of #2 when the steroid story broke.

I still would draft him around 18 (but even there I doubt I would get him). He's probably going between 10-15.

vinegaroon- We have our own city-data fantasy baseball league up (yahoo) and a few slots are still available if you're interested. Click on the fantasy baseball topic.

I am already in two other leagues, but thanks for the invite. I still would not draft him as high as you are saying. I have the likes of Carlos Beltran, Jimmy Rollins and Carlos Lee around #15, and right now I would rather have any of those players rather than a guy who might be starting the season on the DL. Of course, I am in a fantasy points league, not HTH, and no playoffs. If you are in HTH and have playoffs, you can mess around and stay close in the end, and perhaps then A-Rod has some value. If you are in a competitive fantasy points league, you can't afford to have guys on the DL clogging up a slot on your roster.

I won't have him on my draft list at all. the injury scares me a little and honestly, I despise the guy and wouldn't want to feel compelled to root for him!
