Typical Philly fan. You haven't got a clue. I have been to games at the Vet where a low-life drunk poured a beer on a guy and his kid (maybe 9 year old) because they were cheering for their team. Or, how about Philly's finest moment, the thing that Eagle fans are most proud of, the Body Bag game?
Please, don't even compare Yankee, Giants fans to Philly, you would be beaming your ignorance for all to see.

Sounds like someone's bitter

Your team missed out on Lee. Get over it. By throwing a hissy fit and calling him and his wife stupid you'd only be reinforcing his decision to not go to New York.

THis is PHantastic! Now we just need a leadoff hitter & the WS is a sure thing. A package of players incluiding Blanton &/or Kendrick may get that.

If you perform in Philly, the fans treat you like a god! Lee saw that side of the Phillies fans.
In Philly they also play REAL baseball, whereas NY & texas only treat the pitcher as half a player.

BTW - Phils fans did NOT boo Santa! Well - they sort of did. THey threw snowballs, too. But all the while, they were actually in good cheer, as was the recipient of the snowballs. They booed a kid who replaced Santa, because Santa didn't show up.
It was at an Eagles game where their record was 2-11. THe weather was awful - windchills in single digits and field a muddy mess. THe fans were at least expecting a fancy half time show, with a float carrying santa. But the float got stuck in the mud, and Santa was a no show. THe Eagles found some 20 yr old kid wearing a red suit & had him walk on the field instead of Santa. He was scraggly, skinny, an awful suit, and the fans were frustrated that the team & then the halftime show was so awful.

Ironic aside - one of the Fans throwing snowballs was an 11 yr old kid named Matt Millen. He went on to star at Penn State & won 3 Super Bowl rings. He is now the President of the Detroit Lions, the team that is allowing the Vikings to use their stadium due to the snow damage to the Vikings' stadium.
Millen was fired about 3 yrs ago. Great story otherwise though.

Who called him stupid? I credited the Phillies on pulling off this deal. They were, obviously, smarter than the Yankees in their pursuit of Lee. I also gave them credit for giving him a 5 year deal instead of a longer term deal.
I simply stated that some guys are not cut our for NY. No need to get so defensive. You should be happy that, on paper, you are the odds on favorite to win the WS in 2011.

This sucks. Well, I guess this is what the Phillies, Mets, and Expos fans felt like whenever my squad made a big move back in the 90s. I like Philadelphia's pitching lineup. This brings me to my next point...

Kcuf no. Op Philly has 3 aces now not 4, Hamels is just a good pitcher. Colin Cowherd's officially an idiot, the guy thinks Philly's new rotation is the best in 20 years, smh. Glavine, Maddux, Smoltz, Denny Neagle, and Kevin Milwood was the sickest. Philly's impressive but not the best, you know that Go phillies. I was so hoping it was between TX and NY.

Not cut out for NY??? Lee did plenty of Yankee-killing on your big stage in the World Series.

God, I can't stand NY arrogance. You're not as great as you think you are, get over yourselves.
