I'll take the Acura. The Lexus makes a compelling case though.

I'd go with the Lexus.

Of course, you would Honda boy.

Enough with the funny, I'll take the Q45. That car is sick. There is a manual swapped one on YT. That's epic. Also that V8 produced over 300 hp. They were lying like other Japanese brands were.

Today's G37 will absolutely smoke a Q45, do it more reliably, get better gas mileage, and come better equipped, while costing 1/3rd less after adjusting for inflation.

Just because I'm curious, How much would a 1992 Q45 cost in today's prices?

My parents paid about $42K for theirs in 1991, which works out to $72K in today's dollars.

That's crazy. The new M series starts at $56,000 for the M56x AWD. Seems as though cars were far more expensive back in the 90's in relation to today.

I'm not sure if that's the case for everyday cars, but the the higher-end cars certainly were. Competition from the new Japanese nameplates probably helped to bring them down quite a bit. Keep in mind though that my parents' car may have had options that priced it notably above the base MSRP.

I think the Q would have be slotted above the M. The M competes with Lexus GS not the LS so the 72,000 is probably spot on.

I like the LS followed by the Q. Just couldn't get over the front of the Q.

The Legends were great but they were a class down. The Mazda was down another notch from the Acura. The revised 929 is pretty sweet looking ride.

My father had a 92 Q45 back when I was in high school, it's still the "best" car he's ever owned. I say that in quotations because it had its share of problems, but the power and handling of that car has bested everything he's owned before or since.

The main problem with the early Q's was that they had no front grill, so the engine would overheat if you ever just sat in traffic in a hot climate. I don't know who the idiot engineer was that came up with that design, but it was quickly fixed in 93/94 or so. On ours, we swapped out the stock restrictive cats for some higher flowing ones to reduce heat and give a bit more horsepower.

Interior was/is nice, and has aged well IMO.

It's a lighter car, with far less interior room. It's also down about 30 ft lbs of torque to the Q. It's a completely different class of car.
