Whats your thoughts on this for the car of the future ? In my opinion, its not very elegant to look at , but, it looks like it would be cheap enough to buy . Its faster in the quarter mile than a new Ford Mustang Cobra.

I did leave out some redundant and/or confusing information
In the video the guy states he's not doing it "for personal gain or to get rich." Yeah, right.
This guy brought one out to the Lab to show it off - it's an interesting concept, but he would need some sort of regulatory cooperation to allow these things to take advantage of their narrow width.
I mean, you could get probably 6 or 7 lanes worth of motorcycles on a 4-lane road, *if* everybody is on motorcycles, which they are not, and if "they" would lay out some sort of alternative lane markings...
I notice they are very careful what angle they are filming from when the little thing goes around a corner. That tall and narrow, I would be willing to bet there is some serious body lean going on. Either that or it rides like a tank.
Electric motors make full torque at zero rpm so power and acceleration has never been the issue with electric cars... the issue is range and recharge time.
When the operating parameters and cost compete with autos powered by internal combustion engines they will be a huge success. Unfortunately that does not seem to be coming any time in the near future.

But unlike the Cobra, it doesnt handle, look good, make glorious noises, and while the Cobra can be out cruising cross country, that hideous little electric contraption will be in the garage having to recharge. Sounds like fun. Id also hate to see that rat trap get in a serious accident. Yikes.
You greenies are a weird bunch.
Oh, Id like a link to the claim that it "beat a Cobra on the dragstrip". That nerd commentator didnt back anything up with factual proof. And besides, the other nerds he's trying to woo probably think a Shelby Cobra is a real venomous snake from SE Asia or something. Then they'll actually be able to visualize just how fast that little contraption is, because in the electric car world, being able to beat a real snake (slithering at full speed I might add) in a heated race is something to actually brag about.
