I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500, and have just discovered that I have a mass amount of water under the carpet on the passenger side. I am unable to find the leek yet. I have removed the seats and lifted the carpet. Does anyone have any insight?

Heater core, water mixing valve, air condition tray plugged, heater hose or connection leaking, plugged windshield drain, antenna hole seal in fender gone bad - - - - - is that enough for now?

Is it fresh water or coolant? Rusty or clear? Has it recently rained? Check into and give us more information.

I agree with Franklyn.

There are probably a dozen possibilities. One simple way to eliminate about half of them is to keep the vehicle out of wet weather for a few days and see if the leak continues.

Good Luck

I had a friend with a 97 Tahoe that changed wheels and tires causing offset of wheels to stick farther outside the wheel well. When driven in wet conditions, water would come off fronts and hit the weld in the front well that wasn't water tight in front and flood front floor area.(not covered under warr.) Possile cause?

Could be a windshield seal or as some have said a heater core leak.

Probably, if you are in a humid area, running the A/C, the A/C vent tube, usually found on the firewall on the passenger's side, is plugged. But I have seen all the things that Franklyn lists put water in the car. Is is pure water or does it contain antifreeze? Have you had any rain lately, have you driven the car through water?
