Around Munich the locals know to be especially careful near the International Airport due to the number of tourists unaccustomed to driving in Germany driving rental cars...
It's the law that you drive to the right unless passing and if you jump into the passing lane, you better be moving!!!
I think driving over 80mph is totally nuts, anywhere, any time, by anyone. Any mistake or obstacle on the road and the driver, as well as those next to them, get to meet Death.
I'm happy that in the US we've got 65mph on most freeways. I think lowering that to 55 would be great-- to save gas, as well as lives.
Whereas I'd love to see the day when people give enough thought to a problem to stop advocating stupid and ineffectual solutions to complex problems.
obviously you've given this much thought then. maybe you could stick your neck out for once and propose solutions instead of criticising everyone else's. you have a habit of stating what won't work. what will then?

Not every problem cries out for a meddling solution. Market signals have already shifted consumption habits. We don't need to try to force people to do what the market is already forcing them to do.
