Salvage yards will pay a few hundred for this car. Call ahead and tell them you want to keep your new tires and battery. You can sell these separately or use for your next car.
We have already struck a deal on the tires and battery and collected money for them. The guy who towed our car is coming today to give us money for it and haul it off to the junkyard.
I live in the Philippines and own a 1979 Toyota Corrola SR 2 dr coupe, obviously a 4 banger.
I was constantly filling my radiator. My mechanic took a look and told me the engine had a blown head gasket. The radiator coolant was going into engine oil crank case, the indication of that was there was white residue around the radiator filler neck.
A day later with the head gasket replaced and radiator filled, the water level never went down again. in Philippine pesos, it only cost me $15 parts and labor.
