People love to do that, either to show off or just a mater of pride but I was thinking it may bot be very smart. At the gym I always wonder if I lose the key or have it stolen I am practically pointing them to the car.
I do on my replica of a 1965 427 Cobra. I guess that is a show off point.
Considering most cars have remote clickers does it really matter if it has the logo on it. If someone finds your keys all they need to do is walk around the parking lot clicking the remote until the car beeps.
My Mercedes has one right in the center, my old Jeep does, my 2005 GMC does not. I don't see why a car company doesn't do it? I often carry 3 remotes in my pocket while I'm working. What if I also had a remote for a 2005 Chevy, how would I know which is which? (unless the Chevy version has a logo)

Great question, HappyRider . . .
"Advertising" a vehicle in any way is mega stupidity.
Personally, I prefer the "low profile" approach in this case.
Yes my Lexus has one. Plus I have the Lexus L for a keychain for it. I love my Lexus and am proud to drive it. Why wouldn't I show it off?? Besides no one comes near me at the gym so I'm not worried. Plus it does have GPS tracking if it gets stolen...
I have the smart key, which has the logo etched on it.
Ditto. I drive a Camry Hybrid.
