Are you able to register a car with a salvage title? Are you ever able to convert a salvage title to non-salvage? I see plenty of used cars on Craigslist with salvage titles. I've always been told to steer clear.

My problem is that I bought a lemon handicap accessible van in March 2016. I received a car fax on it in June 2016 and it had no accidents prior to the drunk driver that hit us a week after I got in in June 2016. I went to trade it in November 2018 and their car fax says it was totalled in Dec 2013. I called Maryland Mva and New York Mva and it has a clean title. I contacted Car fax ans have not heard back from them.

Not entirely accurate. My truck was rear ended and I never had it repaired because I was able to pull it back out to make it straght again. But it does shows up on my carfax because there was a police report of the accident. The other car needed professional work to repair it.
