we think you are sold what you deserve. Europe does not buy American American cars in market numbers, as they are poorly made, have terrible gas mileage, and fall behind their European counterparts on most specs. Ones that are badged American, but made in Europe, like European Frod Focus, will never be sold here. It's the world of money politics, who cares what people want.

Newsflash: the Focus sold here has always originated in Europe. Various Opels have also made their way here as Saturns, Buicks, etc.

Of course it should be sold here.
Wouldn't every attorney want to own a "Trial blazer"?

Cars originate at the place that cost the least to manufacture them. An example of this is with Honda building cars in the USA for export to Korea. It is cheaper for them to do that then build cars in Japan and send them to Korea. Many manufactures have plants all over the world and product is built at the cheapest place to manufacture depending on who has the cheapest money at the time.

One reason that Buick is still around isn't so much because of Americans fondness of the brand. I would guess that as many people loved Oldsmobile and Pontiac and those brands are now gone. The Chinese love buick more than any other American brand I am told. They may even love it more than BMW or MB although I don't have the numbers to suggest that.

Sure in Europe they make some cars that we don't sell here that we would love to drive. Not sure though that they would all meet our safety and economy standards though. It cost a lot to sell a car here in the USA. We expect more than in other nations.

Sell everything in the US, let the market sort it out.

Such a dumb strategy. Good thing you don't work for an automaker.

The last thing the US needs is another crossover. The previous Trailblazer was a thirsty mediocre truck based SUV. There are no good feelings in the US for that.

It costs millions to bring a vehicle to market - not counting the engineering and production costs. Marketing, dealer support, emissions testing, safety testing, parts inventory etc. GM probably has better things to do with its precious capital than bring this vehicle to the US.

Actually, quite a few European makes (Volvo, MB, Audi, BMW, and yes, even VW) surpass our safety standards and are more economic to operate, especially as diesels.
