Since cars invoke so many passions in people and the foreign vs domestic argument gets brought up quite a bit I was thinking of doing this to satisfy both sides:
I was thinking of going down to the Toyota dealership to buy some of those Toyota logo decals and place them on my Ford Taurus and getting rid of the Ford badges and having a Toyota Taurus instead of a Ford Taurus. I'd have the honor of driving a 'Toyota'...made in the USA.
Has anyone else considered doing this? It's a new way to combine the best of both foreign and domestic, LOL.
Many import brands build cars here in America and many domestic brands build cars overseas so if you want an American made Toyota you can buy one today. Switching actual badges with another make would result in no gains other than looking ridiculous to everyone else. It's not particularly clever or funny either so it would be akin to insulting yourself.
That's up there with "turbo" badges and fake hood vents. The only people who would appreciate them are the people whose opinion I care the least about.

This has to be one of the more ridiculous threads but if that's all you could think of go ahead and switch badges.
I was going to put a Yugo decal on my pile of crap Jeep Grand Cherokee before I sold it, but decided that it wasn't worth the money.
