The PO of my Jeep had at some point replaced the factory fog lights. He basically just cut the old wires, and then never hooked them up.

I finally decided that I'd like them to work, so I have a couple questions. I have some basic ideas on hooking them up, but I'd rather not go the "try it and see" approach with my lights. lol

So, the red and black wires come from the lights. The white and black in the foreground are original, and where he cut them from the original fog lights. Those go to that quick-connect and then to the green and black wires.

Now, do I just hook the red and black to the white and black? Can I get rid of the quick-connect and just go straight to the green and black? Can it be done at all using the wires you see here?

If so, which colours go to which? lol

Yes, she be a rust bucket.

Thanks guys!

Keep the quick connector & hook it up like you described.

Okay thanks.

Now, the white and black wires. One is black with a thick white stripe, the other is black with a thin white stripe.

Does the red go to the one with the thick white stripe?

Like, looking at the picture and how the wires from the lights are pointing at the white and black.......would they go together, just like that?

Know what I mean?

If you are not using an LED bulb & it is not grounded it does not matter which way you hook it up. Otherwise turn on your parking light & use a meter to find the hot one & hook that to red. If you have no meter just twist the red together with the one you think it should go to & briefly strike the black & other wire together to see if it lights.

Alright, thaks alot. Yeah, these are just conventional lights.

Thanks again!

Hey, thanks KK!

I went out and did as you said and they lit up. Now I'm just getting them together.
