I prefer not to have air pags. Those things are dangerous. Just wear your seatbelt.
Air bags can kill children and seriously injure adults even in a fairly minor accident. They are nto safe for short people and the female side of my family are all pretty short.
A friend of ours was in a pretty minor fender bender. The airbag broke her nose and burned he face (some chemical in the propellant). If she had not had an air bag, she wold have no injuries. In certain types of accidents, they can be lifesavers, but in more common accidents (little ones) they do more harm than good.
It is getting harder and harder to find cars without them, or with switched to at least turn off the passenger side.
My first car didn't have them, 1994 Jeep Wrangler. My second car, a 1998 Mustang GT did have them. Since then all of my cars have had them and most of them have had multiple ones, I think my current car has 10. To date though, I've only tested the ones in the Mustang and they worked pretty well, lol.

I know a girl who is 5'2 or so, and skinny. She totaled her 2009 Honda Accord. She sits close to the wheel, but the airbag did not injure her when she crashed into a Ford Escape. It didn't even leave so much as a mark on her. So it all depends on the airbag. Today's airbags are far safer than their '90s forebears.
Hell, my first car didn't have seat belts, or even turn signals............ This has gotta be a joke thread. In fact today my car has never had any air bags as it is a 85 Volvo, and has no ABS either. BTW its a stick shift too.
That first car was a 1500 cc Triumph Spitfire made in 62'.
