First three cars didn't have airbags. 1978 Camaro (first) and 1994 Cavalier RS sedan (third) both came with a collapsible steering wheel. Second car was a 1984 Buick Skyhawk coupe. First car to have airbags was my 1998 Malibu, 2 bags. All of my cars had three point seatbelts in the front seats and I always buckled even before it was a law. When I see how many airbags new cars have today, I think of the scene in Sly Stallone's "Demolition Man" in which his car filled up with expanding foam just before crashing.
I learned to drive on an old, early 90's Ford truck...it didn't have airbags and I can't even remember if it had seatbelts. I hit a deer with it when I was 13 and kept on driving!
Some of these people are hilarious. To assume that the OP was gloating about having six air bags is ridiculous. Zero is a perfectly suitable answer to any question starting with "How many...". This question makes no assumptions as to a minimum.
Zero. Currently six. I'm a fan of airbags... although they do smell funny when they deploy.
