Yep, fond memories lol
hahaha! I had a baja bug that I drove in the winter. Ice cold air came though the front Baja kit and shot out the radio and speaker holes in the dash. Unstoppable in the snow, but you really had to bundle up to be in it then.

Massive fun the rest of the time:

Most of my Bugs were lowered, and customized with built engines. Here are a few:

yeah our friend and his family raced sandrails back home in WI, and in the off season (winter) he'd put that motor in his bug--actually made it quite the fun little car to run around in. Not counting said cold spells inside, though certain beverages seemed to warm us up lol

Default Yup

I always wanted (and still do) a Bug but being cult cars, they cost WAY more than I want to pay. When I can buy a nice original owner 76 Grand Marquis, for just one example, that is fully functional (even the AC) with 88,000 original miles for $700 (Which I really did back in 02), I won't pay $4000 for a Bug that needs an engine overhaul and new interior, but that seems to be the going price these days. Like I've said many times the 12 cars I've bought over a 21 year period only cost me $6900 total which is $575 a piece average, way less than a Bug. But who knows, one of these days, I might find one!!!

I've got a 62 my godfather bought new when stationed in Germany... he drove it for 40 years and then it got clipped by someone rolling a stop...

I bought it from him and drove it home as a future project.

Also have a VW Thing... nice car in good shape that has not been out of the garage in 10 years. A co-worker bought it for his daughter and she said no-way... this 30 years ago.
