Hi,
I've been trying to get the most MPG from my 09 acura TL.......just curious to see how far i can stretch the MPG.
So far, believe it nor not, i'm at 27.5 miles per gallon which i think is pretty good considering most of my driving is city driving.
Anyway, i was curious about the best mpg other people have gotten from their 6 cyl vehicles (about 285 hp)

The 'believe it or not' part is right on.
The geniuses at the EPA, and their 'test cycle' show 26 highway, 21 combined and 18 City, so your car is a rare anomaly,
or your arithmetic is different, or your driving skills are remarkable.

lol i know what you mean.
i've been 'hyper miling' the hell outta the TL. lol
i try to drive in a way that allows for the least amount of breaking. i look ahead of the traffic in case i need to put the car in neutral and just coast (in case the traffic is going to stop at the light anyway).
my MPG went down today cause of traffic heading home btw!
1995 Acura Legend 5spd. If I use the Hyper-Mile-ing techniques I can get about 29MPG. If I drive normal I get about 22MPG even with 260k on the engine. I do almost all my driving on highways.
