lol, I love these races. It does seem a little rigged though, that Supra was probably a mid-high 12 second car at best, so certainly not one of the "real" drag Supra's. My other favorite is the guy who races the Dodge Caravan, I think he's in the 10's as well.

I like how you said "100%" and then said "mostly"

I think there are a fair share of highway roll on monsters, show only cars and dyno queens to go along with the handful of tubbed 9" or TRD reared powerglide drag beasts out there. YouTube supra roll on or supra dyno and you'll get a bunch of results as well.

Back up in WA, there was a guy with a blue Daihatsu Charade hatch on steelies. He'd pull alongside Supras, RX7's, etc. on the freeway and honk to race from a roll, then pull ahead like they were standing still. He also showed up at the drags sometimes; when I was visiting, I saw him destroy an R33 GTR set up for drag... he never told anyone what was in it, though, and from what my friend said, he disappeared after a few months

Not the same Daihatsu, obviously, but similar results...

That K car is insane
No one said they can't. Most Supra drivers blow at rowing their own gears down a track with enough power to do something bad. And they have to make stupid power for them to make up for the crappy 60 foot, granny shifting to do anything respectable. I think they are badask cars that even today have great lines and a great interior. They hold their value unlike most cars.

That's why most people roll race. Because they can't drive or refuse to actually learn to drive the car.

That gives me an idea....stuff a turbo 3.8 liter out of an 86-87 GN into a Chevette or a Vega. Biggest issue is finding a suitable Chevette or Vega to work with.

But who would want to drive around in a Vega or Chevette?

Don't tell anyone you did that to a GN.
