Now talk of this Danica woman coming in and driving.

Sad to say NASCAR has finally "Jumped the shark" and has all the legitimacy of proffesional wrestling.

When I really want to see oval racing I'll go to the local short track for some real racers.
I'm with PBR. Used to be a big fan here too, but over the years...

I’ve always been a huge fan and am rooting for RCR Racing team this year. Clint Bowyer is a favorite and I've even got him on my dream team, though Harvick’s doing quite good himself so far.

NO!

The accents alone are enough to make me turn the TV off.

Nope, not a fan of ovals and I find the artificial (and constant) bunching of the field annoying. Never cared for the extremely rough driving NASCAR (the series and the fans) reward, either.

I do prefer stock cars to single-seaters in terms of looks - I was a huge Trans Am fan back when Trans Am had a huge field and was a competitive series, along with IMSA, from the prototypes on down.

Stopped watching Indy cars when the series split, stopped watching F1 during the Schumacher years - although I've recently started again and have been enjoying it.

YES YES YES YES YES YES A 1000 TIMES YES!!!!!!!!!!

If you've never been to a race then I suggest you go before writing it off. Not all of us fans are beer drinking, ciggy smoking, overall wearing, rednecks. And there's soo much more to a race weekend than friving fast & turning left.

Couldn't agree more! It's like a BIG outdoor party that lasts for days! People of all sorts are there, and some actually cheer for a guy named Jr. or something like that.
