Watched the SRX feature race from Eldora last evening and it was fun.
Still can't get used to that big wing on the cars, but that's a small detail. They put on a good show.
Would have liked to have heard from Bobby Labonte afterward. They kept saying he wasn't happy with Paul Tracy (can't blame him), but let him tell us his side.
Indeed... Tracy said Bobby wasnt happy .... probabaly would have gotten a top 3 at least.
I have to say these races were pretty fun to watch. I appreciate that they were on an over the air tv channel instead of requiring a cable or streaming subscription.

This was actually kind of fun to watch , just mute Danica as the "analyst" and enjoy some saturday night short track racing.
Be nice if this series fills a few more seats at local short tracks, some great racing goes on there.

indeed Burdell, I dont know if you saw it but this last one was at Slinger raceway ... tiny little paved track. The place was packed. Local 17 year old kid up there giving Tony Stewart and Marco Andretti a battle ... Andretti barely beat him for the win.

I did indeed! I've been enjoying this series, high marks to those who conceived it and brought it to life.
I love local tracks, even more so when the local heroes get to take on outsiders. I remember attending stockcar races inside Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City NJ after sitting in church tugging on my Dad's sleeve, pestering him about going to the races, probably in the late 50s, a place where I also got to see my heroes of the Brooklyn Dodgers play. We also had a high-banked 1/3 mile asphalt track similar to Slinger in a shore town that always figured in to our vacations at the shore. It was great to see attendance at Slinger double the town's population!

Flashback... I played that stadium with the drum & bugle corps back in the 70's!
The race from Slinger on Saturday night was a good one! As much as I am a Smoke fan, I was glad to see others winning SRX races too.
This week should be good with Dad vs. Lad (the Elliott's).
