if it is the same thing they were playing with last season in the xfinity series, i hate it. they would run a segment, then throw the yellow flag for pit stops and what ever. the reform the field and go racing again.

I know they played with a "caution clock" in the truck series. Thankfully that is being abandoned. Maybe they figure distance is better than time for segments.

Don't like it either way. But if drivers will be getting out of their cars, or the break is more than it takes for a round of yellow flag pitstops and a restart then they are shooting themselves in the foot.

Its just going to add to the length if the race.

From what i gathered, it just a typical YELLOW flag with the exception of the crew chief interview and driver (in car) interview.. I think the interviews were obviously driven by TV... which makes me wonder how much all of this is driven by TV...

It's driven by TV and Monster Energy.

Default Best day at Daytona ever!

I suggest the last 5 laps of the Daytona 500 has to be run thru the back stretch bus stop. This will give track workers the necessary time to set up the jump ramps for the final lap.
Talk about an exciting 500 finish, 200 mph and hit the jump ramp. First to survive and drive back to the finish line gets the Monster Energy trophy. A full side Gravedigger monster truck.

They do not have enough seats or infield space to hold all the Monster energy fans who will come out for that "show".
