Newman only said what many have been thinking for a long time.

Whoa. So that team isn't super healthy at the moment.

Default Robby Gordon's parents found dead in California home

The parents of former NASCAR driver Robby Gordon died Wednesday in apparent murder-suicide in Orange, Calif., according to multiple news reports.

The bodies of Robert Gordon, 68, and his wife Sharon, 57, were found Wednesday afternoon in a home in the 1400 block of North Kennymead Street, CBS news in Los Angeles reported.

Local police told NBC that a weapon was recovered inside the house and said the investigation is continuing.

That's pretty horrible.. At those ages.. You kinda wonder if it was a health issue where he's sick and she takes him out then herself or vice versa.

Pretty strange for people of that age to have a murder-suicide out of anger.

Has anyone heard anything about his father having health issues?

Only additional info I have read is that she was strangled and they are saying he was the victim of a self inflicted rifle shot.

Anybody else impressed with Chase Elliott?

He drove well in today's Chicago race and then a last minute caution caused him problems and he came in 3rd. When he was interviewed he gave a standup, no excuses account of what happened.

He seems to have skill, great equipment and a strong personality.

I might be developing into a fan. I thought his dad was a good driver and all, just was hard to understand.

Were it not for the poor decision by his crew chief to come in on that last caution AND then the left rear tire carrier missing a tire grab Chase would have won that race.
Lots of good things coming with that 24 team if they can get past shooting themselves in the tire...
