Is it the amount of different winners during the season? (21 last year)

Something about NASCAR bothers F1 fans yet most of us NASCAR fans could care less about F1.

You enjoy it good for you.

BTW, F1 was easier for Montoya than NASCAR was.

1. Not aware of any F1 fan jealous of NASCAR

2. No. Just as soccer and football don't envy basketball's amount of scored points.

3. Nah. There are plenty of spec series with tons of winners per season. Yes, it's awful when a team
dominates as Red Bull has done lately, but there's still no other series I'd rather watch.

One thing I *used to* envy from NASCAR was its management. But lately, first with the Chase and now with the incredibly stupid new rule to decide the champion, it is completely gone.

RE difficulty, they are very different. I don't think NASCAR is easy at all. With cars so heavy, banking and pack racing I'm pretty sure there's a hell of a lot taking the driver's skill. In the end both are about racing a car as close as possible to its limit without going over. I would expect good NASCAR drivers to be reasonably good (i.e. not 2 seconds off the pace) in F1 and vice-versa.

Malaysia this weekend people... and it looks like it will be a challenge for the new cars, either because it's going to rain like crazy -or at least that's the prediction so far-, or because it will be extremely hot which will put pressure on the teams that are already struggling cooling the car.

This race should clarify the pecking order a bit more (Melbourne is a very particular track, semi street, semi permanent, no high speed corners, no similar tracks in the calendar, while Sepang is more standard).

I expect Mercedes to dominate, and then a cocktail of Williams, Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull cars, with the odd Force India or Toro Rosso getting points due to retirements -or to Raikkonen struggling with the new brakes hah). Hopefully a good Rosberg vs Hamilton battle followed by a big battle among the other cars way behind them.

I haven't been following F-1 for a few years for many reasons. So when I saw a news story about the new rules disqualifying 2nd place Red Bull because they used too much fuel in the smaller and quieter engine, I wondered what was going on. Are F-1 cars being reduced to slightly faster than go-karts?

Turbocharged engine & ERS (energy recovery) = about 750 horsepower, similar to 2013, but with more torque.

Man that was a boring race. Only the Williams drama was entertaining. Oh and Hulkenberg defending from Alonso with 20+ laps old tyres in an inferior car, and finishing +30s ahead of Button. What a driver. He should be in a top team.

Let's hope Gene Haas is successful in his bid to become an F1 entrant, it'd be great to see an American team back in the game.

I think there is a good chance they hire Conor Daly or Alex Rossi. I don't think Rosenzweig has a chance
