Please support he upcoming truck race at Rockingham April 15th by watching in person.
Thanks to Andy Hillinberg and he staff, NASCAR is finally returning to one of the most exciting tracks on the circuit.
Perhaps a great attendance will entice NASCAR to come back with Nationwide and then then who knows maybe the Cup cars return (in nice weather of course)
I'm not a fan of the trucks but I'll be there just to support the track plus it doesn't hurt to live close.
Well said. I don't want to sound preachy, but for those in the region within reasonable driving distance, who complain NASCAR has abandoned its roots, this is a chance to show them you want them to return to The Rock.
I'm far from a NASCAR apologist, but it SEEMS they are listening to the fans more than ever. The time is now.
I attended some Rockingham races years ago; b-o-r-i-n-g as hell, just too damn long.
Remember Cup left due to lack of attendance.
While that's understood, there is a lack of attendence at most tracks nowadays. See the big covers over the seats at Charlotte - and I pick on Charlotte because of its location in the "Heart" of NASCAR country.
Too long - no different than Dover in that regard....
Starting with the NNS, they could run a 300 Mile or 500K race there and the race would probably be pretty good. Of course, I have no marketing data to back it up, just a gut feeling. Rockingham had quite a few close finishes in its history, even in the years up until NASCAR pulled out.

NASCAR tried to grow up too fast....
Yeah Dover is a long race too, but poor attendance at Charlotte is still higher than Rockingham could ever achieve. When I attended Rockingham during NASCAR's peak the track was still never a sell out.
I have to admit, I didn't even watch the Cup races at the Rock when they ran there because they didn't hold my interest. But OTOH, I enjoy Pocono. Go figure!
