NASCAR can only say it happened "if" Menard admits it. That isn't going to happen....I would have said no yesterday but after listening to the radio transmission replayed today--well let's just say it's very curious! This chase has gotten so big and is so important that nothing would suprise me anymore.

Again, it's a case of too much media. It appears that they can't prove if Menard did or didn't, so it should be a non-story.

jeff gordon DID bring the subject up in a post race interview, which is why the media latched onto the story. he claimed he heard some strange radio conversations, and then menard and his crew chief changed frequencies to one that gordon didnt have.

Did you listen to the radio chatter? Probably not. You just wanted to find a reason to call Gordon a cry baby.

Even Rusty Wallace, who never really liked Gordon, said it sounded like they were cheating.

But, that's racing (for some teams).

Its very possible with the incentive to win really.A team partner has nothig else top race for really. kind of like team orders in F1>
