I have to wander just now she will do without all the down force. Its more a drivers sport than most racig where often its the right car that matters more.
Auto racing seems to be the only major sport where you can actually buy your way into a ride. Many of today's drivers have great talent and would be there without having to buy their way in but there are a few who are there because they had the backing of a major sponsor before they even turned a wheel.
How many high level Indy car drivers got a chance at NASCAR but could not cut it and lost their rides?
Danica was never a top level Indy car driver, she may have been in a top level car but her skills were not up to par.She will be the same in NASCAR, a top level car but because of her lack of skills she will not perform at the top level. She may find her way up front on occasion but her lack of NASCAR know how will not keep here there.
I think she belongs in NASCAR because we do need big time sponsors on cars instead of body in white cars filling out the field. Plus she is also easy on the eyes.
I really hope she does well but I just don't believe she has the tools.

Personally I will love to see what she does the first time she gets bumped out of the way by a faster car. Will she thow a hissy fit and stomp away? Or will she start throwing towels?

If Dario Franchitti, Patrick Carpentier and Christian Fittipaldi couldn't do it (to mention only 3), I doubt Danica will. Montoya is hangin' in somehow, but that's not saying much given his talent.
Wasn't Jacques Villeneuve doing some NASTYCAR stuff? He didn't get far for a world champ in 2 different series.
No, I think Danica will embarrass herself long before she wins anything.
The perk with bringing your own money is the extended learning curve. Teams & sponsors don't have patientence for learning curves, fast food mentality. Montoya has benefited from a learning curve because of his relationship with Ganassi. Other open wheel drivers proably would have fared well had they been extended the same learning curve. And as long a Patrick is marketable and someone is willing to open their wallet to her she will have a ride.
