I would put Freddy's Frozen custard at the front of that group.

Moonie's Burger House - Austin, TX
+1

Mighty Fine is a touch too much 'hoopla' for me...unless I'm just in the mood for a lot of kids and noise...good burgers and fries though

I freakin' love Sandy's! Can't beat the price either. I wish they'd open more locations.

Five Guys is my favorite (delicious burgers & cajun fries), but of the two mentioned, I prefer P.Terrys.

Well, for flat out amazing (buttered buns and the whole 9 yards) y'all can't beat Frans!
Sandys is good too, especially the fries!

Dang! That is so true! I never get down there though. And I don't eat beef, but if it was a last meal sort of thing . . . (I have snuck a bite of one of their burgers, don't tell)

did you see that they were featured on the food channel recently?

Mighty Fine's pretty good, and their fries are better than P. Terry's. But, there's too much going on at MF. I prefer PT.

Actually, I prefer Top Notch, the Tavern, or Dirty's (for a greasy hamburger and homemade onion rings). That wasn't the question, I know.

The only burger I crave from time to time, is a Dan's, or Fran's(Fran got some of the restaurants in the divorce)
