Wanted:
OBGYN with wonderful/soft bedside manners, listens to my concerns, and provides reassurance to anxious patient. I'm looking for a doc (preferably female) in the north/central austin area. I'm open to Round Rock too. Particulary interested in a practice that does inhouse labs, sonagrams, etc. rather than having to travel to additional locations for these services. I've recently had a miscarrage (my first pregnancy at 38) and the doc I was with played it off as if this was routine, when I felt completey devistated. I'm all about connecting with my health care provider who can be attentive to my needs. I've been to a few consultations but they can get pricey when insurance does not pay for this type of visit.

Any thoughts on Mary Mirto, D.O.?

I can tell you who NOT to go to...Lydia Sweeney. Horrible.

Several of my friends use Dr. Uribe and rave about him, but he isn't female, obviously Best of luck finding someone; you deserve to be treated by a physician who has some sensitivity and compassion.

I go to Dr. Sally Grogono, at the Professional Bldg. at Seton Hospital (38th/Lamar). She's great! Several people I know go to her and have also had wonderful things to say. They have an in-house lab, but some of the tests have to be done off-campus (I had a genetic test done off-site).

Check out Dr. Tara Mills. Blood testing, sonograms, etc. are all done in the same building.
