First off, can anyone reccommend any of the following?? We are looking at the outer surrounding areas of Austin, and have no problem driving as long as the doctor is worth it!!!! We would have a PPO insurance, so we can go to anyone, preferrably in network.

We have 3 little ones under 4, so a pediatrician is SUPER important.

OBGYN, I don't have to go often, but want someone who has a good bedside manner and is reputable and thorough.

Primary Care, for the general cough and cold.

Any POSSIBLE way of getting any of the above, that do not treat you like a number?? My experience here at least (california) has been, HMO dr.'s tend to want to see you for 5 minutes and shove you out the door with a prescription in hand..even our kids. We have a peditrician we LOVE, does not over medicate, but only accepts cash or PPO, no state welfare type insurance or HMO's (they are terrible here!)

I have a OBGYN & Primary Care that are the same, no state ins, or HMO's, only decent paying insurance.....so if anyone has experiences good or bad, please let me know!!

I LOVE our pediatrician...Dr. Prochnow at Austin Regional Clinic (Great Hills). He takes all the time we need and he's sent us out without antibiotics plenty of times. We drive to see him.

Dr. Steven Griggs, pediatrict associates of austin. This man is great, I've gone to football games and even funerals with this man and he was my doctor.

OBGYN, Dr. Mary Mirto. Her office is behind St.davids but it worth the drive. I absolutely love her.
