A forum writer recommmended The Ranch at Brushy Creek as a neighborhood that might be a good fit my family. Looking into it I have discovered Newmark Homes and really like the Jester model. They are building in this area. I wanted any comments anyone knows about this builder and area. Work will be most likely be a Northwest hospital. Price range 300 or less. Good public schools a must.

We have a Newmark. PM me if you would like to persue a fair and balanced assessment.

We currently live in a Newmark Home, which was built in 1999, lived in for a year, and then we bought in 2000. The home itself has been quite satisfactory, in general. We did have a problem with a toilet that appeared to be seeping into the wood floor in the 'powder room' bathroom. We called, and they told us to get a plumber out to pull the toiler and check the problem. If the problem was unrelated to the construction, it was at our cost; however, it was a construction issue and Newmark authorized the plumber to make repairs and paid him directly (under the 10 year warranty).

No other known problems. My folks had a Newmark home built for them in the late 90s in Scoffield farms. They had minor issues with the construction (cosmetic, for the most part) and Newmark took care of them. Again, nothing unusual for a new home construction.

We were going to sign up with Newmark on a 'Jester' model at Ranch@brushy creek. But at the end our real urge for "steiner" made us decide on a Mercedes@Steiner.
Personally I think 'jester' is a nice plan and Newmark is a reputed builder.

I live in R@BC and have to say the community/area is really nice. Good schools, nice wooded lots, lots of expensive homes and a variety of builders with great elevations. Also proximity to shopping centers and malls is a big plus. Although the connectivity is great, with Parmer, 183, 1431,I-35, 620 all accessible and close; the community still feels like its tucked in.

Don't have much experience with Newmark homes. Lot of them being built around here with available signs up. The row of Newmark homes close to the model seem to have great elevations.

we are planning to move to Ranch at Brushy Ck and want to know how the Elementary/Middle schools are. also, we like a 1 story Lenox model built by Newmark base model priced at $219K without any upgrades. I was wondering if this is a good deal and if anyone has negotiated with the builder before. We are kind of wondering if we it is worth waiting for a new home (~6 months) to be built or buy an existing in R@BCK for a better price on the home. Also, we heard that Newmark has filed for bankruptcy recently and not sure if this will affect our home!!

With any builder that appears to be in financial difficulty, you'll want to ask about the warranty, who holds it and will be servicing it if any problems arise during the course of the warranty.
