Well, my 85 lb boxer put his nose through my front window, in the den, this afternoon - trying to get a cat that was taunting him.

A totally cracked double pane window, and bloody nose later... I need to replace the whole glass.

Anyone ever have to do this before and can recommend someone?

I had a neighbor that had to do that, but right off the top of my head I can't think of who she called. I'll keep thinking, and if noone gives you a reply I'll ask her tomorrow morning who she used.

-- Had them replace glass in a double pain window...also used them for solar screens...

Check out The Fogged Window Guy - Window repair in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Lakeway. He replaced several fogged window panes for me last year. Fogged, broken, either way it seems like it would be just about the same job. He'll do the work well and his prices are better than you're likely to find elsewhere.

Yam, thanks!

I got a higher quote from some other people I called, and then called your recommendation and he gave me a DRASTICALLY lower quote... so your comment really helped! Thanks!!!

Default Highly Recommended

My realtor gave me the name and number for a glass man that she highly recommended for replacing some of my broken and foggy glass. His name is Jim Sweeny and his business name is Fog Gone. He came out and measured our windows and had the glass and job done a couple days later. We had a couple other companies come out and he was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other guys. He works for himself, by himself and does a great job. I really recommend him. Here is his info, Fog Gone - Glass Replacement in the Austin Texas Area (512) 653-7785. Hope this helps

Default fogged window guys

I took the advice here, called anchor ventura, the price was fairly high.
I called fogged window guy several times, always leaving a message and I emailed several times simply asking they contact me via email or phone about some broken windows (outside panes) that I have, they have never returned my calls or answered my emails, It's been since June and now it's August and I still search of window repair!

I'm going to try this last reply above mine...can't remember the name..fog gone I think? Hopefully the return calls and are cheaper than the anchor.

Thank you.
